Curriculum

The curriculum is currently being addressed. It is hoped that the students will be offered a wide variety of subjects, but this is all dependent on the size of the school and the available funds.

There are suggestions for parent-led workshops. Parents can either teach the students about a specific subject or they can explain how the subjects that the students are studying are used in the day-to-day workplace or life.

Multiple Intelligences

The school will fully embrace the Multiple Intelligences theory developed by Howard Gardner. This means that the teaching methods will be adapted to suit the needs of the learners according to their intelligence types.
Although the theory is being developed further, it makes sense to start with the first 8 types discovered:

·  Linguistic

·  Logical-mathematical

·  Musical

·  Bodily-kinesthetic

·  Spatial-visual

·  Interpersonal

·  Intrapersonal

·  Natural

The students will be asked to complete their own Multiple Intelligence report, which will be part of their confidential student profile.
