Enrolment
Until the Department for Education and Science sanction our school, and we have been given a building and funding, places can not be offered.However, as the Department requires an enrolment list when the application for a new school is made, it is imperative that enrolment is started soon.
The situation in Lucan is unusual in Ireland because it is an area with many primary school and a serious shortage of second level places to accommodate all the pupils graduating from primary school. Most of the primary schools are feeder schools for the existing secondary schools. At this moment none of the 5 ET primary schools are feeder schools.

As soon as the enrolment begins (please check the information notice boards in your school as well as this website), the enrolment form will be available for downloading on this page.
Student Profile
There will be no entrance exam. Instead, a confidential student profile will be drawn up, consisting of:
· The standardized test of 5th class
· The standardized test of 6th class
· The end of 5th class school report
· The 6th class Xmas report, and
· A multiple intelligence report.
This profile will be used to determine the student’s best teaching and learning methods. There will be no streaming based on any students academic abilities.
